So, my sister's BFF Tameesha who has been like a second sister to me is pregnant with her 3rd child. I spent my Saturday evening chilling with her, my older sis and nephew @ her baby shower. It was good seeing Meesha so happy, we all had a blast. The best part of the entire night was the fact that Meesha had no idea what the sex of her baby was. Her hubby and everyone else knew except for her. We revealed the baby's sex (which is a boy)@ the shower, Meesha was in tears and sooooo happy being that she has 2 girls and wanted a son so badly. All in all it was a blessed evening and I wish her nothing but the best!!! Sidebar- One of the highlights of the night was my nephew Noah breakdancing...as you can see in the pic below, he is the one on the floor-HILARIOUS!

For the Grown & Sexy-Position of the day: Rock-a-Bye Booty
Erotic Instructions:
With your man on his back, slowly straddle him. Once he’s inside you, have him lift up his torso and position yourselves so that you’re sitting face-to-face. Wrap your legs tightly around his buttocks and have him do the same to you. Then both you and your guy should link your elbows under the other person’s knees and lift them up to chest level. Cradle each other in bear-hug fashion.
Why You'll Love It:
Even though this position limits the thrusting possibilities, you can rock each other’s world by swaying back and forth. Start out slow, get the rhythm down, and then let loose. As you build momentum, keep him hard by squeezing your PC muscles — the same ones that contract when you cut off the flow of urine. This will tighten your hold on his member while increasing blood flow to your nether regions, boosting both your bliss.
*Hint:Because you and your guy are so close, this position is perfect for more intimate moments. The added face time opens up a slew of steamy smooching possibilities — so get even closer by kissing his neck or sucking on his earlobe as you move in sync.

Drive-Ins Oh My!!!
So…a few weeks ago I was talking about how much I wanna go to a drive in like the old days. Being that I never heard of any being in NYC, I took it upon myself to do a little research. I was ecstatic when I found out that there are DEFINITELY drive ins that we can get to. I mean, they are not that close but with a car anything is possible! This is what I found…..
*Vintage Drive-in in Avon (Livingston County) 585-226-9290
South of Rochester, NY, via Interstate 390, located at 1520 West Henrietta Road, in Avon
From I-390 (Genesee Expressway) take exit 10 fro Avon, and then continue west on Route 5/20 for less than a mile , turn north/right at Route 15 (Henrietta Road), to Drive-in = 3/4mi up on left. It fits up to 500 cars, includes snackbar and admission is only 8 bucks!!
Prince's Protegees:
Where the "HELL" are they now?!...Jaleel White
Claim To Fame: EVERYONE knows Jaleel as Urkel. I can not think of him in anything else. There lies the problem he's had since the show ended. He will forever be associated as Steve Urkel.
Where Is He Now: After the show ended, Jaleel White did the voice of one of the characters for the cartoon movie 'Quest For Camelot.' He also did a TV series which only lasted a year called 'Grown Ups.' In that sitcom he played a 24 year old post college graduate. he graduated from UCLA Film School in 2001. Black Panther Exhibit @ The New Museum going on until 10/18/09
*Emory Douglas: Black Panther
An Exhibition Curated by Sam Durant for the New Museum
Some of Emory Douglas’s images are nearly forty years old, but they are still as powerful as when Douglas first created them. They are dangerous pictures, and they were meant to change the world.
Emory Douglas was the Revolutionary Artist of the Black Panther Party and subsequently became its Minister of Culture, part of the national leadership. He created the overall design of the Black Panther, the Party’s weekly newspaper, and oversaw its layout and production until the Black Panthers disbanded in 1979–80. Throughout the ’60s and ’70s, Douglas made countless artworks, illustrations, and cartoons, which were reproduced in the paper and distributed as prints, posters, cards, and even sculptures. All of them utilized a straightforward graphic style and a vocabulary of images that would become synonymous with the Party and the issues it fought for.
“Emory Douglas: Black Panther” includes a wide variety of Douglas’s work done while a member of the Black Panther Party. Curated by the Los Angeles artist Sam Durant, whose work often deals with political and cultural subjects in American history, the show includes approximately 165 posters, newspapers, and prints dating from 1967–76. Durant met Emory Douglas in 2002 and began working on a book of Douglas’s work, which resulted in a monograph published in 2007. Two years later Durant curated “Black Panther: The Revolutionary Art of Emory Douglas” at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, which serves as a model for the exhibition at the New Museum.

For the grown & sexy: Position of the day is the "Passion Propeller"...
Erotic Instructions:
Your man lies on top of you, entering you in traditional missionary style, but then — yowza! — he starts doing a 360-degree spin, all the while keeping his penis deep inside of you. As he's rotating and thrusting, help guide him around your body like a propeller would spin around the top of a helicopter. Make sure to lift his legs when they swing around over your head.

As he's rotating and thrusting, help guide him around your body like a propeller would spin around the top of a helicopter. Make sure to lift his legs when they swing around over your head.
Why You'll Love It:
Once you make the 360-degree jaw-dropping journey, you and your man will feel like sexual dynamos and may even keep on spinning for rounds two, three, and four! Another plus of this topsy-turvy delight: As he's doing an around-your-world revolution, you finally get to view every inch of his body and barely have to move to reap big rewards — your propeller prince is doing all the work!

*Hint-This randy ring around your rosie can make staying in sync tricky. If during his twisty travels you encounter some awkward private part match-up moments and it feels like he might just slip out, try placing a pillow under your butt to raise your pelvis a bit for easier access.

Fashion spotlight: Lady GaGa
Today I would like to take a moment to focus on Lady Gaga's wardrobe. She is outrageous, blunt and fearless when it comes to her style. To many it may seem weird and just straight out CRAZY. I, on the other hand feel totally different! I respect her swag and think that it is amazing that she walks to the beat of her own drum. I dig her sense of style and a lot of people don't have the balls to wear what she puts on! She definitely gets respect from me….I see you GaGa!

How I love the 80's, let me count the ways....
One of my favorite books is "Back In The Days" by Jamel Shabazz. It celebrates 1980's fashion to the fullest...it also documents the emerging hip hop scene from 1980-1989. These beautiful photos were taken in Queens, Brooklyn, Harlem and my old stomping grounds the Bronx! It captures 80's fashion in all it's splendor....from the kangols, addidas, the MCM leathers, cuban link chains, you NAME IT! How could you not love it?!?!
Just A Thought: Where are the good love stories at?!?!
As I was going through my dvd collection a few days ago, I came across "Love Jones". I forgot how much I loved that movie and it also made me realize that they don't make good quality black love stories anymore. It seems as if lately all that's coming out are Tyler Perry films. Don't get me wrong…they are good at times, but If you ask me, I am a little Tyler Perry'd out. I do respect hustle though…I must say that! Remember films like "Jason's Lyric", "Mississippi Masala", "Love and Basketball"and Love Jones? I say the directors and actors need to get back in the lab and resurrect quality films. Start the movement all over again and give us something to look forward to!!!
Where the "HELL" are they now?!...Jasmine Guy
Claim To Fame: Who doesn't think of Jasmine as Whitley on the series "A Different World"? While she is a woman of many talents, this will always be the role that she is most identified with.
Where Is She Now: To this day she continues a career in film, theater, and music. In fact back in the late 90's I saw her in the touring production of Chicago and she is once again touring with the show. In 2004 she wrote a book 'Afeni Shakur: Evolution of a Revolutionary for the African American Studies' Afeni is the mother of Tupac Shakur. She also had a co-starring role in the Showtime series, 'Dead Like Me.'
*Sorry Jasmine but you did not age well...yikes!
My "WTF Award" goes to.....
Rihanna-This is old footage that was found of our girl RiRi singing "Hero" by Mariah Carey @ a talent show. UMMMMMMMM...CRICKETS!!!!!
