Fashion: Sexing up the one-piece......

I'm not a huge fan of the one-piece bathing suit, I'm a 2-piece kinda gal:).  If I were to wear one though-it'll probably look like these.  Here are a few of my top picks:

So, the other day my homegirl let me listen to Teairra Mari's new song entitled "Sponsor".  The lyrics go: "Anything that I ask for from my sponsor he go and bu-bu-buy-buy" and then the chorus, "I got myself a sponsor / to fill up a drink for me / to fill up a tank for me / to put something in the bank for me." Lastly, "If he tryin' to get it / there's some work that come wit' it."- *CRICKETS*..............

What type of message are you trying to send out Teairra?!?!?!?  Basically, I need this man to buy me shit, do my hair, buy my car, buy the gas for the car that he bought me, put money in my account and basically in a nutshell if you want some pootang u bets get me all of the above!  BBBBLLLLOOOOOOODDDD CLOT!!!!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong of course there are times when your man will treat you, take care of his lady yadda yadda yadda, that's sweet.  Yet, get a fucking backbone....sorry for all the cussing but this is ludacris!!!  Get your ass a job and HOLD YOUR OWN!!!!!  What happen to being a woman, a "REAL" woman?  How about putting money in your OWN account that YOU worked hard for, having your own car etc.....A man does not want a woman (especially one he's trying to build with) leaching off of him and being a basic bitch.  He wants to grow and build TOGETHER with you.  You bring something to the table and so does he *MESSAGE*.  Every now and then your man will buy you things, hold it down for you if times are rough and even spoil you.  LADIES, that's because he WANTS to NATURALLY and he feels you deserve it.  It's done out of LOVE not because your hoebag ass is trying to trick him!  There is a COMPLETE difference from a man wanting to do these things and taking advantage of him.  HOE SIT DOWN, PLEASE! 

I knew something was fishy when Teairra's young ass was singing "How to make a girl feel" when she was only 16!!!  WTF you know about how a girl is supposed to feel at that age?!?!  Do you even know how to wash your cooch properly????  Now she tried to come better with a song called "Sponsor"....who is on your team?!?!?!  Now young girls are gonna run around saying "GIRL, MY ASS NEEDS A SPONSOR STAT".  No ma'am no ma'am no ma'am.  SMH-what is this world coming to?!  Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.........

Fashion: In honor of Sex And The City 2........

Being that I'm an uber Carrie fan, I wanted to share some of my favorite Bradshaw get ups!  Don't get me wrong, I love them all whether it be Charlotte's prissy/housewife dresses, Samantha's racy/bombshell outfits or, Miranda's corporate/sleek look.  Yet, there's just something about Carrie.  Guess you can say I'm a fashion whore for Bradshaw:)  I'm a sucker when it comes to her eccentric risk taking outfits.  I simply cannot WAIT to see what Patricia Fields has in store for SATC 2..............

*Although, I'm having a "Carrie" moment, I had to show the other gals love.

Boy bands of the late 80's & 90's..........

As I was listening to some tunes this am...I couldn't help but realize how much I missed old r&b groups.  I mean, I was playing everything from "Jodeci", "Ready For The World", "Shai", "H-Town", "Guy", "The Boys", to "Hi-Five" and the list goes on.  I really miss the boy bands of the late 80's & 90's.  They don't make em like that anymore, the songs and videos were just classic. 

Ready For The World sang songs about age being nothing but a #.  Although, they were young they proved that they can still "love you down", lol.  Shai, with their acapella 'If I ever fall in love"-which was the infamous "talent show/audition song" guys would sing everywhere.  Guy-who made it ok to settle down w/ one girl on their "Let's Chill" song. Oh, and let's not forget the fashion and the dancing!  Jodeci and H-Town who made wearing doc marten boots w/ no shirts and suspenders look cool, lol.  The Boys-who every pre-teen girl-including myself had a crush on. Backflips and all in the video, they were too adorable! 

I was thinking, they should really have a comeback tour with all of these groups. Minus-The Boys-being that they ran off to Africa and no longer do r & b music.  Also, minus one of the members of H-town, R.I.P. to the lead singer who died in a car crash.  Also, lead singer of Hi-Five who died from an overdose:(  With that being said, my hat goes off to all of them.  Thanks for giving us some great music-that we can still enjoy today.......

I know when some of you see this vid pick, you'll think "wtf?!"-  Yes, yes I adore this song for so many reasons.  My mom would blast this all over the house while doing her Sunday cleaning.  I had no choice but to fall in love with it.  Although, I was too young to understand what she was actually saying-I loved her voice.  The older I got I was able to appreciate the message in the song.  One of my all time fav country songs-Go Tammy!
