So, that veggie detox I was doing, umerrrraaaaa yea. It got the best of me and I had to stop! I know, I know....I was "supposed" to thug it out. Didn't turn out that way, started to become sick and my body wasn't used to all that ruffage. Sorry champ, maybe next time. Whamp Whamp whamp..........
So, I'm doing this 3 day raw veggie detox. Today is my first day and I swear I am hallucinating mind you, it's only 12 noon. All I can think about are burgers, and fries and sweets oh my......I'm finna go nuts in here! I am not doing for weight reasons bc I do love my curves. I'm just doing it to cleanse myself and get a little more energy. Ya girl is turning 30 next week and I must start preserving my sexy now, lol:)
My breakfast consist of fresh fruits and nuts, lunch-spinach salad w/ the works, no meat or cheese tho-*sigh*. Snack-probably a veggie juice or more nuts. Dinner-more salad or just some fresh broccolli, zucchini, carrots, peppers-yadda yadda yadda things like that-you get the picture. Oh, and lots and lots of WATER. This is actually harder than I thought, I am a huge food lover/meatatarian therefore, this is torture for me. Yet, I am going to push through, I know it's only 3 days, but it feels like an eternity. With that being said, I'll just continue to thug it out. Seriously though, I am warning folks, until Thursday this is all they'll be hearing from me.......
Today makes 9 years since the untimely passing of Aaliyah Dana Haughton, she was only 22 years old. I just wanted to take the time today to reflect on her life and enjoy her music . Oh, and ESPECIALLY her videos-big up to "Fatima Robinson" for blessing Aaliyah w/ the dope choreography! I think most ladies can agree with me and are guilty of trying to practice Aaliyah's dance routines in the mirror, lmao. Whether it was "Are You That Somebody", "We Need A Resolution", "One In A Million" or the ever so popular "Rock The Boat" video. I swear EVERY chic was trying to do that dance. Don't FRONT, you ain't gotta lie Craig-hahahha. I know for sure I'm guilty of knowing that routine inside out. My mama would get sick of me constantly rewinding the video trying to get that wind that Aaliyah used to do down packed, lol.
With that being said we miss and love you Aaliyah. Thank you for gracing the music world with your presence, may you rest in peace eternally. Sidebar-try to teach my mommy some of your moves while she's up there with you and tell her I love her:).....
*FYI- This isKeisha Chantewho is supposed to play Aaliyah in an upcoming movie. Damn she looks just like her-kudos to casting for this one!
I was a huge fan of girl group "SWV" in the 90's. Everything from "Weak", to "Downtown", to "Right Here" and the list goes on. Besides their fly songs another thing that always caught my attention was lead singer, Coko's nails. They were absolutely RIDUNKULOUS!!!! I never understood why the hell someone would want their nails that long. I'm personally down with the "clean cut/short nail" crew. One thing that always sparked my curiosity was "HOW THE HELL DID SHE WIPE HER ASS WITH THOSE THINGS?!"......
Anyhoo, I did some research wondering if she still had those claws in 2010. Come to find out, she so-called "toned them down"-ummmm. If this is Coko's way of toning her nails down, she is sadly mistaken, wow! We still love ya though girl, thanks for the hits....
