*NEW GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY FLASH SNEAKER STORE PROJECT:
Gucci is pleased to announce the launch of GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY, a flash sneaker store that will travel the world starting in October, 2009. For this unique retail initiative, Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini has collaborated with award-winning musical artist Mark Ronson on the design of a limited edition collection of Gucci Ronson sneakers.
A new limited edition Gucci Ronson sneaker will be introduced at each international destination of the tour, in addition to an exclusive edition of 18 sneaker styles in the GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY sneaker collection. The collection includes 16 men’s styles and 2 women’s styles, incorporating classic Gucci design signatures, such as the GG logo or a stylized version of the iconic Gucci red and green web detail. Each design includes silver or gold metal dog tags as well as an embroidered ‘Limited Edition’ label inscribed inside the shoe. Customers’ initials can be embossed onto a customized leather tag on the shoe laces, if desired.
Conceived as true collector’s items, each GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY sneaker comes with unique packaging designed specifically for each city on the international tour. The limited edition Gucci Ronson sneaker will also have its own exclusive packaging.
Giannini has developed an eye-catching GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY store design with interiors coated in a slick white gloss and an oversized red and green web band that wraps around its perimeter.
The first GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY store will debut at Crosby Street in New York on October 24, when Frida Giannini and Mark Ronson will host a celebratory kick-off party. The store will then remain open for just two weeks.

I must say....I have to give it up to Kim K for her amazing sense of style. No matter where she is seen, she always has on the hottest trends. What I dig about her look is the fact that she is versatile...that's rule #1 when it comes to being a true fashionista!!!!! In this pic she goes from spandex w/ a blazer real chill look, to sexy mini dress (which every woman should own), next is the wide leg off white pants w/ vest (very classy) and last, a classic black evening dress. Kudos Kim!
My Life: This is a poem that my friend Simone wrote about my mama the day of her funeral. Still gives me chills, thnx again girl, xoxo-AMAZING!

Forunately, I had the opportunity to make my way to the New Musuem to check out the "Black Panther" exhibit, which was great! Here is a new exhibition that is coming up Oct 28th that you folks should check out.
Urs Fischer:Marguerite de Ponty- exhibit is going on from 10/28-2/14/10
The exhibition "Urs Fischer: Marguerite de Ponty" is the culmination of four years of work. Neither a traditional survey nor a retrospective, the exhibition features new productions and iconic works combined to compose a series of gigantic still lifes and walk-in tableaux. Choreographed entirely by the artist, the exhibition is a descent into Fischer’s universe, revealing the world of an artist who has emerged as one of the most exceptional talents working today. In a continuous search for new plastic solutions, Fischer has built houses out of bread and given life to animated puppets; he has dissected objects or blown them out of proportion in order to reinvent our relationship to them. In 2007, in a now-legendary exhibition, he excavated the floor of his New York gallery, digging a crater within the exhibition space. Throughout his work, with ambitious gestures and irreverent panache, Fischer explores the secret mechanisms of perception, combining a Pop immediacy with a neo-Baroque taste for the absurd.
-Urs Fischer's work looks pretty interesting...very eclectic!

These are just a few of my favorite "black & white" photos that inspire me. Not only are these amazing black male figures but, these pics also catch them in their most intimate moments. So random…….nothing prepped nor glamorized. Whether they are thinking, laughing, smoking etc…..this what makes a great picture. When it is pure, raw and unexpected. Catching rare moments is what makes the best memories….
