Fashion Spotlight- "Karanja (KK) Gooden......

I am more than proud to introduce you all to my homie Karanja Gooden aka KK.  Wow, where do I start???  I've known KK since I was 12 years old.  He is my bff Shaneka's big brother.  Since I was a little girl he has always been on his grind even as a teen.  His love for fashion, drive and ambition has taken him from a kid in douglas projects to now, a grown man who is about to take the world by storm w/ his own clothing line entitled "Professional Clothing".  Not only is KK like a brother to me but definitely an inspiration to many folks who grew up with him.  His story just goes to show that whenever you put your mind to something, anything is possible!

***Check out some of his pieces that he has designed and is also modeling.  Big up KK...I see you fam!  Everyone has dreams...IT'S ABOUT MAKING SHIT HAPPEN!!!

People Making Moves: Nigel Nichols.....

As you all know, one of the biggest things that I try to do with my blog is give credit where credit is due to folks who are making things happen.  I am extremely passionate about supporting people who go after their dreams and are go getters!  I am always looking for people who are on the come up and on their "A" game.  Therefore, when given the opportunity I am always happy to spread the word.  So... my homegirl Tiff told me about her good friend Nigel Nichols who happens to be CEO and founder of "3G Staffing group".  This 27 year old is on the fast road to success and is not stopping now, keep an eye out for him!

** Here is his bio for more details:

The History of 3G-Staffing

3G Staffing Group, LLC is a results driven Executive Recruitment Firm founded in 2008. Our primary focus is on permanent placement for Professionals with backgrounds within Accounting, Information Technology and Financial Services. The founders just like our current clients and candidates, have been subjected to the corporate world, and have endured the tedious task of seeking a source for employment. Unsuccessful in locating a recruitment firm that they felt worked with and for them, they decided to turn the tables and create one to serve the people.

At conception, 3G Staffing Group’s ultimate goal was to serve their customers. We are committed in not only providing excellent results but building a reputation as an organization which builds relationships. A must for us is to maintain our customer’s satisfaction and respect by establishing rapport with prestigious companies with whom we place our candidates. As we continue to grow and expand, the quality of our service will never be compromised. This is a 3GSG guarantee.

We envisioned our firm excelling as one of the industry leaders in providing employment placement, unwavering customer service and satisfaction. In a little over a year, 3G Staffing Group has steadfastly achieved this success. Creating relationships, expanding our network, producing favorable results, and developing a system that works for both our candidates and clients has allowed for the consistent growth we set out for.

In today’s marketplace, companies must react with promptitude when dealing with the ever‐changing conditions. It is crucial to place the right talent into a position that will lead to continued success for both the candidate as well as the client. There is no risk associated with our services because you are not obligated to compensate us, until a candidate has been identified and hired.

Foreseeing a new tomorrow, we live by the motto, “Recruiting is no more than a series of consequences that can be shifted by the action of one individual that will inspire many to unite over one common goal, Success”.

The 3G’s behind it all.

Our Goal = Client/Candidate Satisfaction with continued success for all.

Our Guarantee = Uncompromised Service.

Our philosophy acts as a Guide = by leading our candidate down the right career path.

3GSG a Recruiting firm simplified.

Tuesday's Quote:

"It is not work that kills men, it is worry. Work is healthy; you can hardly put more on a man than he can bear. But worry is rust upon the blade. It is not movement that destroys the machinery, but friction." -Henry Ward Beecher

Sex position of the week & Some of my fav slowies. OH BEHHHHAAAVVVEEE:).......

Being that Valentine's Day is right around the corner, I am feeling a little mmmmmm...I guess romantical (although that's not a word-lol) and a bit naughty:)  Therefore, I wanted to share with you not only my sex position pick of the week BUT, just a few of my favorite slowies (aka slow jams) that I feel are HAWT for a V day night!  Enjoy, and happy smashing folks:)

V for Vixen:

Erotic Instructions:
Sit on a counter and have your man stand facing you. His legs should be slightly bent, spaced 3 feet apart. With your arms on his shoulders and his arms around your lower back, slowly pull your right leg up and prop your right foot on his left shoulder. Then pull your left leg up and prop your left foot on his right shoulder.

Why You'll Love It:
Most men are so inflexible, they think a knee bend is an Olympic feat, so he’ll worship you as a sex goddess.

Random: Dinner with my nephew Noah....

My nephew Noah and I stopped by our favorite spot "The Garden Cafe" to have some dinner and chop it up about 1st grade gossip, lol.  Noah had his usual grilled chicken w/ smoked mozzarella and fries, and I had the peacan crusted salmon (YUM). He is really a trip and is ALWAYS a pleasure to be around.  I just heart this kid!!!

People making moves/Fashion Designer spotlight: Nicole Parrish....

Fashion world make room for my homegirl,  fashion designer Nicole Parrish.  Ladies, if you are looking for sheek, sexy and classy all wrapped into one, then this line is for you!  Nicole started designing in 1999, her line is simply entitled "Nicole Parrish". Her web site is currently being developed at this moment, and will be up and running in February, will keep you all posted.

Here is her bio so you all can get a little familiar with her:

Coco Chanel once said, “I don’t do fashion, I am fashion.” Stylist/Designer, Nicole Parrish, embodies the same attitude. Fashion has been weaving a pattern into Nicole’s persona since her childhood in Baltimore, Maryland. It started with needlework. She watched her mother, aunts and grandmother mend garments, and by age 12 Parrish was stitching her own clothes from scratch; a craft she’s been perfecting throughout her life. In 1996, she relocated to the New York City to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). The initial interest was patternmaking, but wanting to enhance her arsenal, she focused her studies in Fashion Design. It was a decision that gave her the wherewithal and confidence to start sketching ideas for her own high-end women’s line (which Parrish will launch 2010 ). Some of the inspiration comes from designers like 3.1 Phillip Lim, Catherine Malandrino, Rachel Roy and Tracy Reese.

It’s been 13 years since the transition from higher learning to high fashion, and she’s made critical use of the time. Nicole has styled for ad agency, McCann Erickson, for an ADCOLOR AWARDS Online Commercial, the 2007 HIPHOP Honors Award Show for Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Modelinia website for Designer Charlotte Ronson’s clothing line and Laureanne Gibson from MTV’s Making of the Band reality show.

As a Designer for 10 years, she has also worked for variety of companies such as, Pastry girls Jr., Coogi girls Jr., Sean John, Apple Bottoms, ECKO Unlimited and Free Country Outerwear.
