My Life: Volunteer work with kids from the battered women's shelter.....

Last week I had the honor of doing some volunteer work with kids from "The Henry Street Settlements". The age range was from 2 to 4, the kids were from the battered women's shelter. This was extremely sad and yet, rewarding at the same time. Probably one of the most humbling experiences I've had. Things like this really make you appreciate what you have. My heart melted when I saw how just a few hours could put a smile on a childs face.  We read to them, did puzzles, fed them and took them to the park.  Hey, I even joined in some of the fun, lol.  At the end of the day, it brings you to the realization that all children really need is love. When they are lacking that, it definitely has a huge impact on their lives!!

Oh my, look at the babies. they are so wonderful. Although I do not know them, just want to tell you thanks for reaching out and helping the babies. they just need a little love, nurturing and attention. Tiff Loves the Kids <3
